Go Get It. Some hard truth about training.

The older you get and/or the higher level you play at, the less it becomes about the individual player. You are expected to be good. You are expected to be technically gifted. If not, your chances at remaining at a high level will be very short lived which is why there is so much player movement from u15-u19.

Ask every “High Level” team at the ages of u15-u19 to raise their hand if they have been part of the team since they were 8 years old. it is very rare. Clubs and coaches want the next best thing, so if you are not the player doing everything possible to either remain at the top or to reach the top, don’t get disappointed when the outcome doesn’t go your way.

Master your craft. work on your weaknesses. Become the most endurance player on your roster.

The best players spend so much time away from their club teams to work on anything and everything that will help them be better than the player next to them.

Remember what own Touch is here for. We don’t care how fast you are. We don’t care what league you play in. We don’t care what GOT SOCCER ranking your team is. We don’t care if you can smash a ball in the top corner. We want you to remain in complete control of the ball. The older you get and better you become, the clubs will focus around the individual player. They expect you to be good on the ball. If you’re not, chances are you won’t last long.

We help you do it better, do it right and master that skill.

Stay focused on your own development, at whatever level you play at. You will get noticed. Don’t be in a hurry to make that next team only to sit on a bench.

Don’t seek approval and don’t wait for permission.
